Dr K Williams BDS
Qualified at Liverpool University in 1975 and has been with the practice since 1978.
I have been a partner for over thirty years and have seen many changes. I am very proud of the practice and the difference it has made to our patients' smiles. I take pride in looking after my patients; many have been with me for a very long time and their loyalty means a great deal. Over the years, it has been a privilege to be part of the change in Dentistry. Dental education has played an enormous part in our patients' achieving a healthy smile. It is wonderful to see children growing up without having to have fillings or extractions. Fabulous changes in such a short time.
Dr W Powell BDS
Qualified at Liverpool University in 1989, has been with the practice since 1995
Since coming to the practice I've become a family man, and I've found having three children is great fun. The kids take a big part in growing vegetables and fruit at the allotment where I like to go to chill out. But of course, their social life is a lot busier than mine, and - like all parents - I'm often the taxi driver.
Dentistry is my true passion. Making a difference to my patients' smiles gives me great satisfaction. I like all aspects of my work and it's wonderful getting to know families and seeing their children growing up.
My patients can now have Cerec crowns and inlays made by me at the surgery and fitted within a couple of hours. Children and adults no longer need to wear metal braces and can instead have Invisalign. Invisalign treatment consists of a series of nearly invisible, removable aligners that you change every two weeks for the next set of aligners. Each aligner is individually manufactured for your teeth, and your teeth only. As you replace each aligner, your teeth will move - little by little, week by week - until they have straightened to the final position. It's wonderful being able to show you how your smile is going to look before you start treatment. The technology is superb.

When I became a partner I told the team not to worry, there'd be no change! Since then we have seen the practice completely modernised, with new state-of-the art surgeries, waiting rooms with leather sofas, new receptions (we are now on our second) and weve become fully computerised - an operation which was stressful to say the least! We did it because being treated in a pleasant environment is good for our patients and we wanted you to be comfortable and relaxed when having treatment. You can even have a video on while youre having your procedure. I love all aspects of my work, from routine treatments to complex makeovers. Its really good making a difference; there's nothing better than seeing how wonderful people feel after a complete makeover. I have had that privilege many times.
Not so long ago a lady arrived in extreme anxiety. She hadn't been to the dentist for years and was so embarrassed about her smile she talked with her hand over her mouth the entire time. It was wonderful to see her a few months later leaving the surgery a completely new person. Her loose teeth had been replaced with bridges, she'd had tooth whitening and facial rejuvenation (botox and fillers). She really did look ten years younger and was beaming with delight! Brilliant!
Dr D Thomas BDS

Since I was a little lad, I'd always wanted to be a dentist. I absolutely love it! Being Welsh, I wasn't sure if I would practice in Wales when I qualified, but after completing my year's vocational training at the practice the partners invited me to stay. It's a really lovely practice and we all make a great team.
I enjoy all aspects of my work. Tooth Whitening is becoming increasingly popular and makes such a difference to your smile. At the moment Im doing a postgrad course in Endodontics - Root Canal work - an area in which I want to specialise.
In my spare time I like to have fun and stay fit. Jason and I did the Snowdon run last year for charity, where my feet took a hammering! It was a good while before they were back to normal. Great fun though!
